In 2006,
Cheryl founded The Joy, Laughter & Intuition
Institute, a charitable, humanitarian
organization dedicated to bringing joy,
laughter, and intuition workshops to community
groups and non-profits with limited financial
budgets for training and development.
Accomplishments:
Cheryl has 25
year's experience working in and with large- and
mid-sized businesses in organizational
development and marketing.
Before establishing Business Insights in 2000,
she held the position of Executive Vice
President in Charge of Operations for Financial
Training Resources/Frontline Group - a sales,
service and management training firm - and
before that served as the organization's Senior
Vice President in Charge of Strategic Marketing.
She also has 7 year's experience as a Division
Marketing Director for The First National Bank
of Chicago (now known as Chase Bank).
She has a Master of Science degree in Adult
Business Education from Northern Illinois
University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from
North Central College where she double majored
in Business and Communications. Ms. O'Donoghue
successfully completed a certificate program in
Non-Profit Management, is a Certified Laughter
Leader and a member of the Association for
Applied and Therapeutic Humor.
Cheryl is an accomplished researcher, author,
professional speaker and the creator of
JOY!9to5© -- a series of corporate
workshops designed to help participants create
more energizing, supportive and joyful work
environments, leading to higher levels of
organizational productivity and profitability.
She is the creator of a workshop to develop
intuition in the workplace called Business
Insights©, as well as a series of public
workshops - Laughter & Joy...Just for the
Health of It! © and Laughter & Joy
Quorums© - which combine laughter exercises
and motivational "joy tips" to provide numerous
wellness benefits for all people of all ages.
In her free time, Cheryl is a professional
theatre and voiceover actor. Her 2007
performances to date, include "Ms. History" in
the Hidden Talent Theatre Company's production
of Gerald Bell's Who's Crazy Now? And "Olive
Madison" in Theatre in the Woods' production of
The Odd Couple (Female Version).
